Description of Business- PMS Parking Inc. is a company that deals with the Leasing and Managing of Parking Garages and Lots. That includes Municipal parking, Event parking, Hotel and Hotel Valet parking, Residential parking, Commercial parking, College event parking and self and Valet parking.

History- As an immigrant, Amsale personally experienced the American Dream.  Amsale came to the United States, November, 1982 to pursue higher education. While attending school she found her way working in a parking Lot. What began as a cashiering job at a local parking company has developed into an enterprise for Amsale Geletu. In 1988, her late husband and Amsale started a company called PMS Parking, Inc.  They won their first contract in November, 1988 to run the parking lot facility for the Holiday Inn in downtown Baltimore. Subsequently, they won three more contracts to run Baltimore City owned Garages. With the passing of her husband in November 1994, Amsale took full control of the company as the President. Since then, Amsale has worked with a wide variety of businesses that range from small parking space to commercial, and government buildings.

Amsale’s is committed to quality service, quality staff, diversity of services, and giving back to the community.

Amsale is a member of the African-American Steering Committee of the Walters Art Museum since 1997, an active participant in Baltimore City After School Institute, Co-founder and board member of US Care for Ethiopia Foundation since 1999 and a board member of EAC (Ethiopian American Constituency) since 1999. 

Reason Requesting a Makeover- “PMS’s commitment for excellence drives my company to where it is today,” said Geletu. However she feels that her business does not have the resources to properly market her company. Geletu believes that PMS can manage and operate as good as big companies because she takes each contract seriously and individually as if she were the client. Unfortunately due to the lack of proper marketing her company has been able to reach its full potential. “With the proper marketing strategy, I believe that my company will grow and be competitive in any market.”
